There are maybe four weeks a year when a coat is too much and a knit is not enough. This is what the vest is for.
At 450 grams it is substantial without bulk, so it layers cleanly over a polo or half zip and still sits under a jacket if the evening turns. The cut keeps your shoulders sharp and leaves your arms free, which is the whole argument for a vest in the first place.
Brown gives it a softer, more autumnal read. Especially good over off-white knitwear with taupe or beige trousers.
